LRL SERVICES EXTENDS ITS SAFETY-AT-HEIGHT CULTURE FROM HEIGHT TO HIGHWAY WITH DRIVE-CLEAN

THE FLEET CHALLENGE

LRL Services' engineers travel nationwide to reach client

sites, often driving long distances between jobs, working

early starts and staying away from home across multi-day

contracts.

As a company built around rigorous safety standards at

height, IRATA-certified rope access and strict

working-at-height protocols, the leadership team wanted to

extend that same discipline to time spent behind the wheel.

With a growing fleet, multi-day contracts away from base and

a duty of care to protect both engineers and the public, LRL

Services looked for a proactive, verifiable safeguard it could

put in place before a driver ever starts a vehicle, rather than

relying on policy and trust alone.

THE SOLUTION

LRL Services partnered with Drive-Clean to fit a connected alcohol interlock system across their fleet, pairing cutting-edge fuel-cell breathalyser technology with a control unit wired directly into each van's ignition circuit.

HOW IT WORKS - THREE SIMPLE STEPS...

1. Blow & Go.

The driver blows into the

handset, a simple, ten-second step before setting off, no training needed.

2. Pass to Start.

A quick pass unlocks the ignition straight away, so a clear result means no delay to the working day.

3. Logged automatically.

Every test is time-stamped and sent straight to Drive-Clean's platform, nothing for the driver or the office to chase up.
